This week, I thought I might
just show some beautiful New Zealand homes.

This one is called Azur Lodge, in Queenstown.
It's a gorgeous home and accommodation!

When people describe homes as idyllic, this is what they mean...

What a beautiful room.

The interiors are so well done, so appropriate for the Lodge.

I imagine there are many great gatherings spaces
throughout the Lodge.

Check those views out the window!

I wonder how much sun baking weather they get down there???

Outdoor fire
that would be an amazing place to be early evenings...

Some of the views,
The Remarkables mountain range, Lake Wakatipu
and Walter and Cecil Peaks.

Pretty, yes?

AND here's what the Agent said!

This award-winning luxury lodge is one of New Zealand?s finest retreats. Idyllically perched on a sun-drenched hilltop covering 14,439m2 of freehold land, Azur Lodge enjoys breathtaking views of The Remarkables mountain range, Lake Wakatipu and Walter and Cecil Peaks. Operating since 2004, this rare haven is renowned for its privacy, seclusion, unspoiled beauty and discreet personal service, yet is only five minutes drive to central Queenstown. Winner of Trip Advisor?s Traveler?s Choice Award (2008) for the Best Hidden Gem in the South Pacific, Azur Lodge has won numerous accommodation and hospitality awards. Currently running at a high annual occupancy, this is a unique opportunity to own one of New Zealand?s most prestigious lodges. Set amid spectacular mature grounds with native trees and shrubs and positioned to enjoy all day sun, Azur Lodge consists of nine intimately private stand-alone villas with consent in place for additional dwellings. Each villa, constructed of silver beech wood and stone, was designed by multi-award winning architect John Blair & Co. Covering an expansive 83m2 each, the villas are luxuriously designed with flair and sophistication. Super-king sized beds are lavished with three-hundred-thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets, the fireplace adds ambience to the tranquil lounge area, and outside a private deck offers spectacular 180-degree alpine views. The bathrooms could rival those of the world?s great hotels. All feature dual vanities, rain forest shower heads and spa tubs positioned in the window to be enjoyed either indoor or outdoor. Azur Lodge is the epitome of luxury with superb furniture and fittings throughout. With numerous living areas, the main lodge is the place to relax, and has a large kitchen where breakfast is served every morning and canap?s in the evening. Enjoy a book from the library while soaking in the stunning views in front of one of three fireplaces, or bask in the sunshine on the deck overlooking the grounds and Remarkables mountain range. Azur Lodge is located within easy driving distance of four main ski resorts, and in the summer, copious walking and biking trails are close by. For those that just want to relax, Azur Lodge offers the ideal hideaway to while away the day in the utmost of luxury.

"Lakeleigh" @ Daylesford

Just outside of Melbourne...
General Features
PRICE RANGE: Over $1 Million
  • Property Type:House
  • Bedrooms:3
  • Bathrooms:2
  • Outdoor Features
  • Balcony
  • Deck
DH and I am starting to look around for an investment property (locally) and we've been interested in two local areas (rural) to us, Kyneton and Daylesford. We're not sure if we will renovate something, or build from scratch - just seeing what's around atm.

Daylesford is just over an hour from Melbourne CBD, and is considered a the creme de la creme of the "spa country", ie. many large spa resorts are located here.

There's also plenty of trendy cafe's, shops and sightseeing.
The housing is usually quite heritage and cottage style, like this one!

It's got a pretty fab living room!

Very cottagey feel with those ceilings!

Ok, the bedrooms are somewhat small, but all white walls with views like that through the windows, who cares!

And a pretty great back yard, decking, overlooking the lake!

And here is the lovely Lake Daylesford
(Wombat Hill in the background)!
*sigh*

AND here's what the Agent had to say!

Lakeleigh
Alluring relaxed atmosphere wonderfully positioned on the foreshore with unquestionable quality, detailing and style. Old established gardens with feature dry stone walls surround Lakeleigh. Large flagstone paved entertainment area combined with timber deck and views over the Lake to Wombat Hill. Stunning glass conservatory dining room, lounge/sitting with gas fire set in a sandstone fireplace, 3 bedrooms, 2 with balconies, 2 bathrooms, stylish interiors with modern contemporary quality finishes. Lakeleigh offers direct private access to Lake Daylesford and is a short stroll to all the wonderful restaurants.
This is a unique property and one of the Spa country's best addresses.
