All the patterns on Valencia collection are sandblasted by hand. Different configurations can be made with the candleholders since their bases fit one another.

The candleholders are available in 5 , the tealight holders are available in 4 different models.

Today while I was trying to re-discover the ancient lost art of willy nilly I decided to have a peek in one of my favourite sites - Jaime Hayon’s website. What was my surprise when this beauty created with 22 pieces of the finest maple wood welcomed my tender latin eyes to Hayon’s creative laboratory.

A little bit Thonet, a little bit danish and a little bit mid century modern, this new piece by Jaime Hayon definitely wants to be a guest in my living room.

DESCRIPTION

The opportunity to research and exercise creative possibilities along with Baccarat led to the creation of the Crystal Candy Set.

The approach was guided by the search for exquisite color and material combinations. With these pieces, Hayon wanted to replicate the richness of fresh tropical fruit using crystal and other materials, such as ceramics.

Using a variety of textures and thicknesses, a new game of reflection has been accomplished with each of the 9 characters that make up the collection. Diverse crystal cutting techniques can be appreciated throughout the collection. They result in a series of soft, feminine shapes with touch of humor. Fruity inspirations are mixed with gem-like features: pineapples, pomegranates, golf balls and water drops are some of the ideas explored.

The pieces are a limited edition of 25.

The ongoing artistic and creative collaboration between Jaime Hayon and Nienke Klunder has been the fuel behind many of Hayon's most celebrated projects. Serious Fun is the first design collection co-created by them as equal partners. This textile collection for Berhardt Design aims to bring a fresh and exciting input to the fabric world. We started to create funny fresh patterns, and using colour combinations which were just a bit more daring. Colour was the key, Basta with the browns, greys, green greys, blue greys and beiges! Serious Fun is a balanced presentation of fabric designs that we would want to enjoy: good for the heart and appropriate for the mind.
