Once again,
I found it difficult to pick just one home in Melbourne to blog about.
I chose this home over the other homes because
it appeared to have an overall winning combination of style,
comfort and of course, luxury.

The facade of the home is divine,
I wonder if it is this impressive in real life...
or it's just good photography!

That's a pretty big skylight there!

Nice kitchen, but small for a home this size I think.

And here's the Master Plan!

Divine Living in downtown Melbourne!

Property Summary

Category: House
Bedrooms: 5
Bathrooms: 6

Bestill my heart, despite this home looking quite boxy from the outside, it is a beautifully designed and decorated residence, 10 minutes from the city of Melbourne in one of our most expensive suburbs, Toorak...

We have a black front door too, so they must have good taste! LOL

I wonder if this home is as stunning
in real life as it in these pics!

Mannequin in the hallway, we should all do that!

This formal living rooms are divine!
The curtains are softly draped in an amazing mix of old and new...

Even the casual living areas are elegant, but relaxed...

The kids area no doubt!
(with it's own bar of course!)

The is nothing short of fabulous, great colours, great materials,
all round beauty!
I love the glass display wall to the right of the above pic...

What a dreamy bedroom, again, the curtains, awe...

In case you didn't notice, the bathrooms appear to be the "run of the mill" marble!
Black chandelier contrast, nice touch!
Apparently each of the 5 bedrooms has their own bathroom, of course...

Toorak Style, in Melbourne

A Classical Toorak Residence

Property Summary

Category: House
Bedrooms: 4
Bathrooms: 4
Garage: Triple
Close to: Melbourne: 6km (direct line)
Toorak has many stylish, well designed and luxurious homes like this one.
It is the most expensive suburb to live in, in Melbourne.

Most homes in Toorak are owned by wealthy "old money" and bad economic times don't usually hurt the "old money" families. Therefore prices are really not always good value for money, just the price you have to pay to live in Toorak.

This one is currently on the market asking for $8 Million Big Ones!

I really like these curtains...

And here's the Master Plan!

And What Did the Agent Say!

Toorak Spanish Style, VIC

Real Spanish Character in Melbourne

Property Summary

Category: House
Bedrooms: 5
Bathrooms: 3
Garage: Double
Close to: Melbourne: 6km (direct line)
Even from the front of the home, you can tell this home has style.

The living areas have that clasic "brown" colour statement going on, as many of the home is in this price range currently do! (although the timber floors help a bit)

But the real luxury of this home, like many well designed homes, is it gorgeous kitchen.

This demonstrates to me what Maria is talking about on her lastest post on kitchen colours, where classic white kitchens go a long way in the style stakes, and don't get caught out in trends that out date as much as other trends.

This home has many classical simple design features, and is currently for sale for around $5-6 Million Big Ones!

This bathroom is a real winner!

I am just mad about this outdoor seating area in a semi-circular wicker - how gorgeous does that look - come on!

And here's the master plan below if it interests you...

AND this is what the agent has to say about the place:

Spanish Mission Family Masterpiece

This extraordinary Spanish Mission villa was designed in 1926 by
eminent Melbourne architects Irwin & Stephenson for A.B. Hardie esq.
Meticulously renovated in 2005 by George Hatzisavas, this iconic Toorak home exudes understated luxury offering sophisticated family
living and generous accommodation. Comprising 5 bedrooms, 3 with en-suites, the master suite with magnificent built in robes walking through to light filled spacious marble and wood ensuite, superb gourmet kitchen with two dishwashers, two pantries and Viking appliances.

Bathed in abundant natural light from its north facing prospect, the residence is surrounded by private walled gardens and lavish outdoor entertaining spaces designed by Eugene Gilligan. A guest retreat/ gymnasium/summer house is amongst the features, overlooking the garden and pool.
Situated on the high point of Hopetoun Road views beyond Kew and towards the Dandenong Ranges can be enjoyed from numerous rooms in the upper level.

Features : Heated Stone floors and hydronic heating also throughout, fully integrated home TV AV system, DLG, built in BBQ for alfresco dining, intimate dining room with wet bar and beautifully fitted study.

This is a WOW for me!
